Hi! I'm Shannon. I began teaching in 1998 after earning a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in teaching English. I have taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grade ELA. I currently teach English I to 8th graders and serve as the reading interventionist at my hometown middle school.

Tammy began teaching in 1994 after receiving a bachelor's degree in elementary education, early childhood education, and special education. She later earned a master's degree in elementary education. Early in her career, she served as a resource inclusion teacher. She taught social studies for four years after that and then returned to special ed in the elementary school where she served k4-5th graders.

In 2003, Tammy joined me in the middle school, and our friendship was born! One year later, we went through the National Board Certification process and both earned that certification the next year.

In 2006, S&T Publications, LLC was born. We launched a website to share some of our creations, like Daily Dose and Standard Start (standards-based bell ringers).

In 2012, we transitioned from S&T Publications to ELA Core Plans and opened a TpT store. Currently, we have over 350 products in that store. We love providing the opportunity for other teachers to use our materials.

Tammy and I still teach ELA side by side, together developing activities and lessons that will challenge and motivate our students. After over twenty years, we still have a passion for our students and for teaching!
